Sculptural props, made to transform a space.
The Collection is the rental arm of The Citydressers, an Amsterdam studio that has dressed spaces with sculptural objects since 2021. Everything here was made or chosen to be looked at twice: chrome mirror pillars and a mirror cake, silver bows the size of a car, drapes that fall like a stage curtain, plinths and props built to hold a room on their own.
You pick the object, tell us the dates, and we handle the rest. It arrives on our truck, is set up by our own team, and is collected again when the last guest has left. Prices are per object, per day, and nothing is charged until you have a quote in your hands.
Every piece on this site is in our Amsterdam warehouse today, and new work leaves the studio every month. If the piece you need does not exist yet, we make it, from a six-metre golden bow on a canal house to one mirror table for one dinner.

How does renting from The Collection work?
Browse the collection, add the objects you want to your request and send it with your dates. We check availability and come back within one working day with a quote. You sign the quote online, which reserves the objects; our team then delivers, sets up and collects them again. Nothing is held until the quote is signed.
What does it cost?
Every object shows its price per day, excluding VAT. Longer rentals get a multi-day discount: 50% off days two and three, and 75% off from day four. The quote adds transport and, where needed, crew; some objects carry a refundable deposit.
Do you deliver and install?
Yes. Our own team delivers, sets up and collects across the Netherlands, so the piece arrives ready for its moment. Transport and crew are quoted per job, and objects are released once the invoice has been paid.
How far ahead should I book?
There is no minimum notice: each object page shows its availability for the dates you choose. Signature pieces go early, so request as soon as your dates are known. An object that is already booked can still be requested; you join the waitlist and we confirm as soon as it frees up.
Can you make something that is not in the collection?
Yes. Every piece in the collection was designed and built by Sasja Strengholt, and the studio makes one-offs to order: from a single mirror table for one dinner to a six-metre golden bow on a canal house. Tell us about the brief and we quote the commission.
What happens if something gets damaged?
You are responsible for the objects for the duration of the rental. Damage is charged at the cost of repair, or at the replacement value where repair is not possible, and settled against the deposit where one was taken. The full rental conditions are on the terms and conditions page.
